The Polo Fields at Indio host the Coachella phenomenon |
After the OutKast performance ended at 12:30 am, we met at our designated meeting spot to catch the bus back to our hotel. With surprisingly a small line up we boarded our bus almost immediately and as we sat down he excitedly told me about all of his adventures over the course of the day and the performers and bands he loved most, let me just say there was a looooong list!
Out of his backpack he retrieved a drumstick that was given to him by the drummer of HAIM after the show (yes, he’d gotten to the front of the stage), as well he'd also had the pleasure of shaking hands with lead singer of Flatbush Zombies after their show…
Nighttime action on the grounds while listening to Girl Talk |
He ended up at about six deep from the main stage for OutKast, which was a close as he could squeeze his frame although I’m sure he tried his hardest to push a little closer.
All of which I find amazing but his excited and animated detailed accounts of each of his adventures which finished with him telling me that this was the happiest day of his life, which as you can imagine it made my heart swell to see him so happy and full of life - isn't it what all parents want for their kids?
Day two is going to be hard to top but I think we're up for it. The lineup for today is again another huge day…
Day two at Coachella 2014 (weekend 2)
Stay tuned for my day two update in the next couple of days. Its time to go put on sunscreen (yes its hot - 34C again today) and get in that bus line. ☺
